In the year 1347, as the Black Death swept across Europe, the old order crumbled and the Church lost its grip. Amid the chaos, a secret organization emerged from the shadows of forgotten history — WBI: the Bureau of Anomalous Inspection.
They were not messengers of God, but agents sent by future directives.
The first generation of WBI operatives infiltrated the medieval era, disguised as inquisitors, travelers, monks, and alchemists. Their mission: to eliminate anomalies that violated the natural laws of Earth — from meteor-induced mutations and artificial souls, to forbidden star-languages and technologies that appeared centuries too early.
